BACK ISSUES

Back copies are available for up to one year after their publication date. For back copies older than 1 year, contact local libraries or The California State Library at (916) 654-0261.

Back copies can be purchased by mail or at The Sacramento Bee's Front Counter at 2100 Q Street in Sacramento between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. It's a good idea to call 916-321-1540 to verify that the issue is available. You can purchase up to 10 copies of each daily issue or 5 copies of Sunday issues.

Our Front Counter's business hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

FRONT COUNTER BACK COPY RATES: (PLUS TAX):
Current to one month: Daily - $ .50; Sunday - $1.50
One month to one year: Daily - $1.00; Sunday - $2.25

To purchase a back copy of The Sacramento Bee by mail, your request must include:

1) Check or money order only (cash or credit cards are not accepted). All requests for back copies require advance payment (except Federal Express delivery requests, see below).

MAILED BACK COPY RATES FOR ALL ISSUES (INCLUDES TAX):
First class rates: Daily - $5.25; Sunday - $7.25

2) The delivery name, address (include zip code) and phone number. Please also include the requester's name, address and phone number, if different. Papers are usually sent within three days after request is received.

3) The exact date(s) and quantity of papers requested. We are unable to honor back copy orders unless the requester knows the precise date of the issue. You may research a particular article through BeeSearch at (916)321-5566 or at most libraries. The California State Library information number is (916) 654-0261. Their business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
