The Sacramento Bee's Newspapers in Education (N.I.E.) provides educational services to more than 1,000 schools in Northern California. Last year The Bee delivered 2,700,000 newspapers to schools, along with educational materials and lesson plans for teachers. We provide newspapers to more the 425,000 students at no cost to students, teachers or schools!
Now more than ever, our students and teachers need the support of the community to provide much needed educational services. We would like to reach out to you for a donation to the N.I.E. program. Here's how you can help...
-- Sponsor a student, a school, or even the district!
| Sponsorship | Week | Semester | School Year |
| Individual Student | $1 | $20 | $40 |
| School | $250 | $5,000 | $10,000 |
| District | $10,000 | $200,000 | $400,000 |
With a donation of $250 or more, we will publish your name (or the name of your choice) in a thank you ad in The Bee. You can make a donation using one of these three easy methods:
- Donate On Your Subscriber Bill -- Renewal bills that are sent to our customers have a line special line for N.I.E. donations. Just indicate the amount you wish to donate, and add that amount to your payment. It's that easy!
- Vacation Donation -- Give students your newspapers while you are out of town. When you call our customer service department to tell us the stop and restart dates of newspaper delivery, tell us that you would like to donate those vacation papers to N.I.E. We'll take care of the rest!
- Send Us a Donation -- Mail your donation to the following address:
