The Sacramento Bee is proud to announce the 27th Annual California Central Valley Spelling Bee will take place on Wednesday, March 3, 2010. The champion will win an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC to compete in the 2010 Scripps National Spelling Bee

River of Words Contest
Each year the River of Words organization conducts a poetry and art contest on the theme of "Watersheds." The contest is designed to help young people explore the natural and cultural history of the place they live, and to express what they discover through poetry and art.
