We are proud to celebrate the 31st anniversary of The Sacramento Bee's Design An Ad contest. There are 11 winning ads this year. The winning ads appeared in The Bee throughout the week beginning on March 23rd. The ads were divided into three categories, separated by the grade of the students.
We invited people to vote for their favorite ads and polls closed on Sunday, 29 March. The results have been tabulated and it is with great pleasure that we announce the winners of the 2009 Design An Ad Contest.

Design An Ad is a simple idea that began in 1978: Create a contest for children that showcased what they learned about commercial art and consumer education, and give our advertisers a way to become an even bigger part of the community. It's been a win-win situation for over three decades.
We have received more than 250,000 Design An Ad entries during the past 30 years from Sacramento- area school children in grades 4 through 12. Only 1,100 of them have been honored on the pages of The Sacramento Bee.
