Student Supplements
Student supplements are tabloid-sized publications written for students. They usually focus on a single topic and have newspaper-based activities. All teachers with a newspaper delivery on the dates below will receive 40 copies of the supplement. Teacher Guides Posted Online
All teachers enrolling in a special or regular N.I.E. program will be able to download any of teacher guides found at the N.I.E. Document Center. Each program comes with its own unique guide, which we post online. Accessing the document center is easy -- simply refer to the instructions that come with your verification letter. Teachers enrolling in a regular N.I.E. subscription will receive two CDs containing 51 N.I.E. teacher guides. The CDs has something for everyone. You'll find a wide variety of newspaper-based lessons and classroom activities for all grade levels and in all subject areas, including reading, language arts, social studies, math, science and journalism.
