Why the Electronic Edition?

  • It's educational. Your N.I.E. electronic subscription includes N.I.E. lessons and teaching materials to help you plan and use your e-edition copies of the newspaper. The e-edition will also help your students become better at keyboarding and navigation.

  • It's efficient. One order provides access to The Bee on the days of your choice for the entire school year.

  • It's easy-to-use. The e-edition is very easy to navigate. Your students can search by keywords and use what's applicable in order to complete their lessons. Zoom in to articles, pictures and graphs to maximize easy, comfortable reading.

  • It's green. The e-edition uses fewer resources and less energy to produce and deliver. It's the environmentally friendly alternative.

  • It's edgy. The Sacramento Bee's e-edition reaches students where they live -- in an increasingly digital world. The newspaper of the future is now available to teachers in Sacramento!
